Actually isn't there a crack theory floating around that Martha Liberty could've been Harry's grandmother? It's not outside the realm of possibility that he already is mixed-race. (Which doesn't mean he's necessarily a POC, since he's never identified that way, but it might be interesting to see him deal with finding out that he is.)
According to Word of God, Harry's grandmother (on his mother's side, anyway) is long-dead, and no-one important. He refuses to say anything about Malcom's parents though, so...
