OP apologizes for not responding sooner. I have been (re)reading this, and having small moments of joy, then not knowing what to reply with that is not just a post of glee, and then rereading.


In short: I love this. I love the end. I love that they're so close to the edge Harry thought they'd fall off, and then forgets about it. I love that John's a hugger. I love that Hendricks - Nathan! - snuggles. I love the last line. I REALLY love all the last line implies. I love that John is so smugly satisfied that he's found something Hendricks wants that he doesn't even have to say anything.

I... love it all.

And it REALLY makes me want to make a Harry/John/Nathan snuggling prompt. Because this was just made of utter win.


...okay, it wasn't a post of pure *squee*, so that counts for something, right? :)

No worries OP, glad you liked it! For some reason John-is-a-cuddler seems to be a key part of my fanon, and I decided Hendricks would probably give good hugs too.

Hendricks would give GREAT hugs - I'm holding on to the belief that he's just a great big teddy bear inside.

The trouble would be convincing him to give hugs. And to get to the mushy teddy bear inside, and past the menacing and intimidating outer beast.
