Ivy gets hurt, somehow (something small, like she scraped her knee or something), and insists on being taken to Butters to be treated. Kincaid indulges her.

Kincaid then spends the next few hours protecting Butters and Ivy from the monster of the week that is running through Chicago causing chaos.

Butters develops a bit of a crush on Kincaid as a result. And Kincaid notices.

Bonuses for: Manipulative Ivy scheming to get the two together; Kincaid already having feelings for Butters; Virgin!Butters; Ivy discovering Butters' hero-fantasy (ie: "I want someone to just make it all better. I don't even care if I'm happy anymore.") through his journal. Yes, the Butters in my head is a bit angsty and emo. Bonus for that, too.

I can just see him sitting in a basement somewhere with Marcone, and Harry decides to have some ice with his coke. And juuust as he's drinking it John just stares as he glugs it down.
