Oh god, Harry knocking John off balance will never stop gutting me in fic. I love this underlying thread to your fics that once John has Harry he's... unsure what to do with him, unsure what he wants, only knowing it runs along the lines of "more". Harry is eternally the only force that can surprise him, in canon and fanon, I think.
