The Truth is Why We Blind Ourselves....

Anyone/Dresden Kink:Whatever Writer wants.

Remember the Sight? It's supppose to let the user see the reality and the truth of all things no matter how terrible it is and you would remember what you see permanently. Constant use usually drives the user insane or dead.

What if there was an accident which forced Harry's Sight opened and made him unable to close it? Making him blindfold himself, but leaving him defenseless?
There's also the option if this occured when Harry was young or just something that happened recently.

OP would like to read Harry encountering a character who helps him out until he can get better.

Do want!

I wonder if the sight is purely visual. Would a wizard who's blind have similar ability?

I imagine similar abilities exist. Like how Jimmy B says everyone soulgazes differently, (apparently Carlos hears music), a blind person maybe be able to hear the deeper truths in sounds and words?

Ohmigod, I almost wrote something like this into my epicfic but it got replaced by another idea. Very... very tempted. :considers:

OP Here

I love your fic! :D Please do it! *NagsNags*

It's possible that everyone has their own way of seeing their Sight, but then, why is Harry's usually described in a horrible/insanity inducing way?

Also, in the Nightside series, the main character John has the Sight, but maybe a superpowered version of it since he can actually search everywhere as long as it's in his terrority.
There's also the theory that if you use your Sight, what you couldn't see before, can see YOU.

Okay, I'll probably give it a shot. I have a lot of schoolwork to sort first, but then totally, yeah.

I think his is described that way because he rarely looks at good things. He once looked at Murphy and liked having that forever saved in his memory.

IIRC - if the Sight stays open too long, the wizard will go insane. I *think* Harry says something akin to that in one of the earlier books. May have been "Storm Front" with the 3-eye drug.
