And his name doesn't really...Have you read Even Hand? Or know the spoilers for it? I don't want to say something a spoil it for you if you haven't.

I acknowledge it's possible that Marcone isn't Italian or Catholic, but I'm going to go with that until canon says otherwise. I've got no problem with other portraying him differently. This is a fandom with a looooooot of good fanon, particularly with him and Harry.

Even Hand is my favorite short story, ever, in DF. Marcone. Fucking Marcone. Being awesome. There was not enough of that in Aftermath.

I agree. Chances are good that he's both Italian and Catholic. And in fanon, there's room for everything anyway!

I just like playing with the idea that Marcone went under into the mob from like...the CIA or something and got too deep and turned and decided that the only way to control the violence was from the top on the inside and so everything, even his assumed ethnicity was a manufactured lie...but I like conspiracies...

Linking back to his relationship with Dresden- not necessarily in fanon, I think this stands up in canon- I rather think he actually envies Harry, because Harry actually has the power to follow through on idealistically-charged decisions, and thus, Harry is not a monster, even though the situations they face are quite similar sometimes. Marcone has to compromise with reality and make sacrifices, whereas Harry, I'm not saying he doesn't have to, but he does have more freedom on that count.

Agreed an insane amount. In fact, I think his calm attitude abotu Harry's death in Aftermath was a massive act. Marcone is bound to Chicago and Harry was a large part of Chicago's safety. He handled things Marcone couldn't. I think Marcone was, under his mask, very... disappointed in Harry's death.

And I know he must've set out to hunt down whoever killed Harry to get revenge. He'd claim it was about territory, but...

I'm not sure which Robin Hood you guys would like to use, but I personally only saw the cartoon version and one of the BBC episode of it.

Also, although it says anyone/Dresden, it could be a threesome with another character. You could choose who you want the characters to be, but I kinda personally thought Marcone could kinda be Robin cause he wants to protect his village(Chicago) and its people. But writer can pick.
