Due to unexpected wacky shenanigans, Harry is temporarily(?) female. As a joke, he decides to see how long it'll take for his friends to figure out that (female pseudonym that please please please isn't 'Harriet') is really him. He does not expect for everyone to immediately try to get into her pants.

Bonus points if afterwards, they're all like "well, duh, of course it was you"

I have a hard time believing that Thomas spent all that time in Harry's apartment, losing jobs, drinking beer, and sexing up people in Harry's bed and didn't do anything to try and make Harry's apartment more like how he (Thomas) would want it to be - probably thinking, you know, compromise, Harry won't mind (silk sheets)... So...

Five times Thomas "fixed" Harry's apartment, and one time the faeries changed everything back.

(Also, optionally, five *things* Thomas "fixed" in Harry's apartment (silk sheets), and one time he came home to find it all changed back (comfy cotton).)

..aagh, that thought is terrifying.

I actually intended that Senior Queen at Denari is Imarieth, with Weyrlady Tessa, but N'codemus wouldn't have risked them on a stunt like that (well, he would totally have risked them - N'codemus and Tessa are generally working against each other except during mating flights - but he wouldn't have risked his Weyrleadership, at least.) Though there's certainly a possibility that at some point, somebody will decide it's a good idea to trade H'ry to Denari. :D

There are not enough marriage fics here. Honestly - where is all the married-for-convenience fics? Married-the-defeated-lord's-son/daughter fics? Married-to-save-my-city fics? Married-to-save-from-Mab fics? Marriage-supersedes-Winter-Knight-status fics? With all the sexy shenanigans that go with a (somewhat-to-very) reluctant honeymoon, too!

...I'd even settle for some porny already-happily-married fics.

(No, I have not prompted these. I don't think. But the few possible-marriage prompts out there haven't been getting filled, so...)

Somehow, something happens to Harry, and Marcone gets stuck looking over his faery folk until his return. However, the fae being the fae, at some point realize that Marcone is not only interested in courting Harry, but decide that he is in fact the perfect match for him, and matchmaking conspiracies ensue. Now Harry and Marcone are both equally confused by mixed signals they think are being sent by the other.

Ex: Who the hell left rose petals on the bed? Could it have been Harry? or There's a box of chocolates in my mailbox. Did John get them for me?

But, obviously, it the fae:) Those sneaky rascals.

Random trivia: the yakuza (Japanese mafia) is sometimes noted for providing aid after disasters when the actual government is slogging through bureaucracy.

So, I would LOVE a story where a huge natural disaster happens in Chicago that not even Harry's magic can predict or prevent. In the aftermath, Marcone and his people are doing the most to help. It's the latest on Harry's long list of "I want to hate him but he keeps doing this likable things."

Bonus points for Marcone actually rolling his sleeves up and loading trucks or moving rubble or such.

Harry/Murphy/Kincaid, Hawaii

Murphy doesn't visit Harry before she goes to Hawaii to ask him to take care of her plants, pshaw. She comes to invite him along.
I'd love to see Kincaid using the same "take someone's pants off for them" move on Harry that he used on Murphy, and a demonstration of the sort of shenanigans that lead to Murphy's arm getting hurt.

Would you reveal how old is Marcone in your opinion in this story? I wonder whether he already started his coup d'état in the Outfit. Or would it be spoilery?

(Canon timeline-wise, Marcone doesn't take over the Outfit until the time of the Restoration of Faith short story, so a few years prior to Storm Front.)

So it's in the next part (and I'm currently trying to tweak it so that Harry won't immediately recognize the situation when he hears about it in Storm Front)
